Physics it is the branch of science that deals with the study of nature and properties of matter and energy.
Ex: Bike is a matter and Petrol is the source of energy.
Importance of physics: in early age, scientists think all things works on same principle and they said it science but later on with more experiments they realize both living and non living things does not work on the same principle so they divided them into groups.
Types of physics
1) Mechanics: mainly concerned with motion and gravitation.
2) Thermodynamics: It deals with heat and temperature and their relation to energy and work.
Example: cooking of food , heating the room etc.
3) Electricity: It is the study of properties of charges in rest or motion.
*Note, charges are, proton, electron and neutron.
4) Magnetism: It deals with the study of magnetic properties of material.
5) atomic physics: It deals with composition, structure and properties of atom. Atom having fundamental properties like proton, electron and neutron.
6) Optics: It is the study of physical aspects of light and it’s properties with the help of optical instrument.
7) Sound: It is the study of production, properties and application of sound.
8) Nuclear physics: it deals with the constitution, structure, behavior and interaction of atomic nuclei.
9) Particle physics: It is the study of elementary constitutions of matter and radiation and the interaction between them.
Example. Study of quarks.
10) Astrophysics : It is the study of celestial objects with the help of laws of physics.
11) Plasma physics : It is the study of ionized state of matter and it’s properties.
12) Geo physics : It deals with the Study of internal structure of earth.
