Pronoun is usually a substitute for a noun.
1) Sunil is a good boy. Sunil is my friend. Sunil’s father works with my father.
2) Sunil is a good boy. He is my friend. His father works with my father.
“He” and “His” are being used as substitutes of “Sunil” in example number 2, which doesn’t change the meaning of the sentence. These such words, replacing noun; “He and His” are called pronouns.
Subjective Pronoun Examples:
He is mad
We were in karachi.
I was at home.
I, We, He, She, They, You etc are Subjective Pronouns.
Objective Pronoun Examples:
Bilawal was with me.
Father scolded him.
Baby is watching you.
Mother did a lot for them.
Me, You, Him, Them, Her, etc are Objective Pronouns.
Possessive Pronoun Examples:
Aman is my youngest son.
Heart is yours, not mine.
My heart was crying.
You were not mine.
My, Mine, Your, Yours, Her, Hers. Their, Theirs. Our, Ours etc are Possessive Pronouns.
Reflexive Pronoun Examples:
I will do it myself.
He will go there himself.
Do it yourself.
Myself, Himself, Yourself, Herself, Themselves, Itself etc are Reflexive Pronouns.
